Transparent, Flat-Fee Pricing

Appeals begin at a minimum flat fee of $10,000 plus expenses. Depending on the type of appeal and the complexity of the issues and the record, costs may run higher. Flat-fee pricing means you know the baseline up front—and we’ll provide a clear, written quote before you decide to move forward.

What the Flat Fee Covers

Our flat fee covers the briefing process for your appeal:

  • Comprehensive review of the trial court record
  • Identification and analysis of appealable issues
  • Preparation and filing of the notice of appeal
  • Research and drafting of the appellate brief
  • Reply brief, where appropriate
  • Regular communication and updates throughout the briefing process

What the Flat Fee Does Not Include

The following are not covered by the base flat fee and, if needed, are quoted or billed separately:

  • Expenses (filing fees, transcript and record-preparation costs, and similar out-of-pocket costs)
  • Oral argument, if the court grants or orders it
  • Additional filings or a further appeal to the next appellate court (for example, a motion for discretionary review to the Kentucky Supreme Court)

Every case is different

Your exact fee depends on the type of appeal, the complexity of the issues, and the length of the record. Contact us for a consultation and a clear, written quote before you decide to move forward.
